Itinerary

Day 1 : Fly to Lukla, trek to Paiya (Chutok) | 2,800m | 7-8 hours

We will have flight from Kathmandu to Lukla takes 45 minutes and is an adventure in itself with great views of the Everest region and ending with a hair-raising landing on a steep mountain runway.. We start trekking from Lukla to Paiya. First, we descend to Surke, cross the river and climb to Pakhepani and continue Chutok La. Arrive in Paiya, we will stay overnight.

Day 2 : Paiya to Panggom | 2,846m | 8-9 hours

After breakfast, we will descend and reach the wooden bridge to cross the Paiya Khola river. We will through the forest for an hour and face a tough climb then reach Kari La. From Kari La, we will see and enjoy fantastic views of several 7,000m mountains. Continue trekking and we reach the Panggom Village.

Day 3 : Panggom to Najing | 2,650m | 6-7 hours

From Panggom, we ascend and through Sherpa villages and reach the Panggom La Pass at 3210m. From Panggom La Pass, we can see a great view of Mera Peak. We will through the cultivated land, where we will see local villagers and farmers. We will have through at Sibuje and continue trekking to Najing. We stop for lunch above the Hinku river, cross the suspension bridge. Arrive at Najing Dingma, we will take a rest for this day

Day 4 : Rest Day in Najing

Today we will have a rest day, and enjoy!

Day 5 : Najing to Cholem and Chalem to 5th Lake | 3,180 m | 5-6 hours

Today, we will be fit after restday in Najing. We will climb the Surkie La at 3.085m, and the view is spectacular. We can see Kangchenjunga from here. Then continue trekking, through a forest, fir trees and rhododendron trees to Chalem Kharka.

Day 6 : Chalem – Panch Phokari (5th Lake) | 4,330 m | 4-5 hours

It’s a short trekking day. After breakfast, we start trekking to Panch Phokari. We will ascend the stone steps to the high pass at 4.330m. Next, we descend to the 5th Lakes at Panch Phokari and overnight.

Day 7 : 5th Lake to Kothe | 3,691 m | 7-8 hours

In the morning, continue trekking through the jungle and descend to Inkhu Khola at Mosom Kharka. From here we continue to trek along the river before reaching the village of Khote. Now we enter the Makalu Barun National Park and get impressive views of Mera Peak.

Day 8 : Kothe to Thangnak | 4,358 m | 6-7 hours

Today we walk along the bank of the glacial river that surrounded by many mountains. We will trek and see the wonderful landscape, forest on your left side and mountains on your right side. The valley swings eastward into a new array of peaks and as we approach Thangnak, the route up toward the Mera glacier comes into view. We will see the damage caused to the valley by the collapse of the glacial lake Sabai Tsho is all too apparent as we head up the river. In the afternoon we will arrive in Thangnak

Day 9 : Thangnak to Khare | 5,045 m | 5-6 hours

Today is more easy and relaxed, we will trek along the Dig Tsho Glacier. During we trekking, we can enjoy the views to the north of the Hinkhu Nup Glacier and the line of peaks beyond. Before we reach Khare Village, we will climb steeply. We can start acclimate ourself, while enjoy the view in Khare Village

Day 10 : Khare: Acclimatization And Pre Climb Training | 5,045 m

Our guide will help you in training of Climbing and using some tools. Relax, acclimate your self and body, and get ready for tomorrow!

Day 11 : Khare to Chahi High Camp | 5350 m | 7-8 hours

We will through the glacier again. It will be challenging than before, we have to always be careful and pay attention to body condition. We will overnight in the tent at Chahi High Camp. We use crampons to help our climbing. We climb back up to the pass at Mera La thorugh a rocky outcrop. We will set the camp at an amazing place, Mera High Camp. The views from here are incredible. Kangchenjunga is visible to the east above the ridge of Chamlang; the ice spire of Baruntse is left of Makalu. Between it and the beautiful twin peaks of Ama Dablam, we will see Nuptse, Lhotse’s south face and Lhotse Shar. Over the ridge stands the summit of Everest, the final stages of the traditional route up the south-east ridge and over the south summit to the summit ridge, and Cho-Oyu, the 6th highest mountain in the world.

Day 12 : Chahi High Camp to Summit and back to Khare | 6,461m | 10-12 hours

Our guide will wake you up at 2am (it can be earlier depending on the group size), the guide also will provide you a hot tea and meal for energy to start our summit ascent of Mera Peak. Today will be more challenging. We cross the south side and some parts are slopes. Then the summit comes back into view and we are on the level summit ridge. At the final ascent, our guide will help you in using rope and ice axe and jumar to climb the final 30 meters. Finally you reach the Mera Peak, CONGRATULATION!! You will see the amazing panorama from the peak. After taking pictures, we descend back to Khare, through High Camp and Base Camp. Arrive in Khare, take a rest and celebrate our accomplishment!

Day 13 : Khare to Thangnak | 4,358 m | 3-4 hours

Today we have a short trek and keep our body fit, cause of yesterday summit program. We will trek down on the same trail when we ascended before. we can enjoy the views to the north of the Hinkhu Nup Glacier and the line of peaks beyond. Then arrive in Thangnak

Day 14 : Thangnak to Thule Kharka | 4300m | 9-10 hours

We will have a long trekking again today. Walk down to the Hinku valley, brings us back to Khote again. Mostly we will be descending today but the terrain can be tough going as we are walking on rocky moraine. Then continue along the river and begin to ascend. We will see again the Mera Peak from the hill. Arrive in Thule Kharka, we will take a rest and overnight.

Day 15 : Thule Kharka to Lukla via Zatrwa La Pass | 4.660 | 7 – 8 hours

Today we will ascend the Zatrwa La Pass at 4660m. From here we will see again the Hinku Valley and south face of the Mera Peak. After that, we will descend steeply from Kalo Himal, The Black Mountain. Finally we end the trekking and climbing in Lukla. Enjoy the hot tea and overnight

Day 16 : Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu

Today our last day, you will fly to Kathmandu and it’s time to say goodbye. Hopefully we will meet again on the next journey
