Starting from Pokhara, After a nicely cooked hot breakfast; we drive an hour to Kande and commence our trek at Kande the elevation of 1770 meters. 1.5 Hours climb up takes to beautiful hamlet of Australian Camp at the altitude of 2100m. The trail to Australain camp from Kande is up hill and pleasant easy walk up to Pothana from there, and it is gradual walk up to Deurali (2200m) about 2 hours where you stay in a tea house lodge for the first night. It is an easy start for the first day.
From Forest Camp, head up a steep winding path through the dense wooded forest. The reward is a fantastic close up Mountain View of Mt. Machhapuchhre.
We will ascend along a wonderful ridge toward Mardi Himal and Machhapuchhre. Hike above treeline and prep for cooler temperatures as you make your way to High Camp.
We will see the most spectacular sunrise views of the mighty Himalayas. After breakfast, we climb to Mardi Himal Base Camp, which stands at 4500 meters. A challenging day walking along narrow, rocky trails, but all will be worth it for the spectacular views of this majestic mountain. This day, if the weather is clear you will get to see up close Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Tare Kang, Khangsar, Annapurna III and Fish Tail. Then trek down and overnight in middle camp.
We will retrace our steps back down to low camp and then head southeast from the ridge through the dense forest towards Mardi Khola.
In the morning, after breakfast we will have the last trekking to Lumre. Take an easy walk along back to the road, where you'll meet your transportation back to Pokhara.
