Arrive at Kathmandu International Airport (KTM). Then our representative pick you up and take you to the hotel and take a rest.
Kathmandu has a special atmosphere during the early morning hours when the city is slowly coming to life yet not too chaotic. It's a great time to walk and explore the streets or have a chai overlooking one of the local courtyards or durbar squares. There are a number of ways you can spend the day given the many incredible sights around the Kathmandu Valley. Later in the evening, head out for dinner at one of the city's great eateries, or your specialist can arrange a home-cooked dinner with a local family.
We will have flight from Kathmandu to Lukla takes 45 minutes and is an adventure in itself with great views of the Everest region and ending with a hair-raising landing on a steep mountain runway. After meeting our crew, we will start our trek by heading up the Dudh Koshi Valley on a well- marked trail to Phakding.
After breakfast, we will start trekking. We cross and re-cross the river on high suspension bridges. Beyond Monjo is the entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park. We then ascend steeply to Namche and along the way, if the weather permits, catch the first glimpse of Mt Everest. Namche Bazaar is the main trading village in Khumbu and has a busy Saturday market. You can enjoy a glass of coffee or tea, with the view.
Today is a rest day in Namche, hike to Everest View Hotel, visit Khumjung Village Hillary School Sagarmatha National Park. Namche is located between two ridges and has lots of lodges, tea shops and souvenir shops. Today we will trek up to the Everest View Hotel at 3880m for our first view of Ama Dablam and Mount Everest.
We trek further along the Everest route and pass through beautiful villages and cross the Dudh Koshi River while also enjoying magnificent views of the Himalayan peaks like Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam along the way. After ascending on a steep trail, we reach the Tengboche Monastery and spend some time there. Later, we descend to Debuche to spend the night.
Today we will trek to Periche. First, we hike to another village called Pangboche on our way to Pheriche. Pangboche is a scenic village surrounded by Everest to its north, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kangtaiga to the east, the Kongde range to the south and the Imja Tse River flowing through the wide fertile valley. From here, we continue further up towards Pheriche. Arrive in Pheriche, we will take a rest and overnight.
After breakfast, we start trekking to Ama Dablam Base Camp. We have to trek back to Pangboche and cross the Dudhi Koshi River. Then, we ascend to the Ama Dablam Base Camp. This base camp, is one of the largest basecamp. Arrive in Ama Dablam Base Camp we can take pictures and get around. Our target “Ama Dablam Peak” is seen from here.
Today, we will learn and have a practice in using climbing gear such as the ice axe, climbing boots, crampons, harness, ascender, etc. Our guides will also provide and train about using ropes, boost our confidence and climbing skills. After that, we take a rest for next challenging days.
Start from day 10 until 29, we try to reach Ama Dablam Peak. We will hike to Camp 1 at 5,700m (17,400 ft). At Camp 1, we will spend 1 night for acclimatization, then return to the base camp for the summit final preparation. Before reaching the Ama Dablam Peak we will pass 3 camps. Base camp to Camp 1 will be challenging. Camp 1 to Camp 2 we need to use rope for climbing. Camp 2 to Camp 3 we will through the rocky and snowy trek. Then we only need to climb the peak of Ama Dablam from Camp 3. After reaching the Ama Dablam Peak, we can see the other mountains surrounding. Then, back to base camp and take a rest.
Today we descend back to the main Everest trail Dingboche. Pass beneath the spectacular view of Ama Dablam. The village sits on the confluence of two valleys and has spectacular views. From here you have views of Island Peak up the Chukkung Valley.
Today we descend back to the main Everest trail through Pangboche and the monastery at Tengboche. From Tengboche, we continue trekking to Namche Bazaar. Arrive ini Namche Bazaar, we will stay overnight and take a rest.
Our final day's trekking follows the Dudh Koshi back down to Lukla. This last evening in the mountains is the ideal opportunity for a farewell party with the Sherpa guides and porters, where you can look back on a memorable trekking experience.
